There has been a butchers shop on these premises since 1890. E Lee & sons have operated from here since 1944.
At that time we were 1 of 5 butchers shops located in Earls Barton - we are now the only one remaining!
Starting as a butcher's boy in 1968, I delivered meat to the residents of Earls Barton on a traditional butchers bike. I went on to train with them and became a Master Butcher in 1983 working continuously for them until I took over the business in 2000.

Today, we have a team of dedicated, friendly and hardworking butchers. Jason works hard to ensure the smooth running behind the scenes. Our previous apprentice Tom, went on to win apprentice of the year and has since moved on, whilst Rob qualified and went on to run our Wollaston branch. Sam, our new young apprentice is eagerly working through his apprenticeship whereby continuing the tradition of nurturing young talent for the customers of tomorrow.
We started coming here when we moved to the village 12 months ago and we feel so lucky to have such a fantastic local butchers on our door step. The staff are always extremely helpful and very friendly and the meat is excellent quality with lots of choice. We will never buy supermarket meat ever again, utter rubbish in comparison! If you haven't tried the pies I would highly recommend that you do, they are superb! Well done all, keep up the great work!”

Started going to E Lee and Sons about 9 months ago, as I got fed up with being charged £5 for 2 tichy chicken breasts pumped full of water from all the local supermarkets. These guys are your traditional, friendly, courteous family business, where they know how to treat a customer correctly. Never had a bad bit of meat off them, well priced, and excellent quality produce, cut and prepared right in front of you if it is not on the shelf. Nothing is too much trouble. Their homemade pies are full to the brim, with loads of meat, none of that 2 lumps of meat of loads of gravy rubbish you get in the supermarkets. Highly recommended!”
